Objectives

The Mi-PHARM Conference 2023 aims to provide a platform for participants to discuss the latest advancements, challenges, and strategies in pharmacovigilance and risk management. The conference endeavours to foster knowledge exchange, encourage collaborative discussions, and promote effective risk minimisation measures and communication strategies for better drug safety. Through insightful plenary talks and interactive sessions, the conference seeks to enhance the understanding of pharmacovigilance practices, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and biosimilar acceptance in Malaysia, ultimately contributing to improved patient care and drug-related outcomes

SCOPE

The scope includes, but is not limited to:

1. Pharmacovigilance in Malaysia: Exploring the current landscape of pharmacovigilance practices, regulations, and initiatives in Malaysia.
2. Risk Minimisation Measures: Discussing strategies and approaches to minimise risks associated with drug use, including both industry and healthcare settings.
3. Risk Minimisation Communication: Addressing effective communication strategies to enhance risk minimisation awareness among healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public
4. Biosimilar Acceptance in Malaysia: Exploring methods to promote the acceptance and utilization of biosimilars in Malaysia's healthcare system. Position Statement on Biosimilars: Discussing an informed position statement regarding the use of biosimilars in Malaysia, considering safety, efficacy, and regulatory aspects.
5. Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring: Examining methodologies and systems for monitoring adverse drug reactions, both within the industry and healthcare facilities.
6. Adverse Drug Reaction Reporting: Exploring the processes and challenges of reporting adverse drug reactions in hospitals and community pharmacies.
