Dr. Leica Claydon-Mueller is Associate Professor for Health Services Research. She is a physiotherapist with a focus on pain rehabilitation using evidence synthesis, service evaluation, qualitative and effectiveness studies. Improving disability, participation, and knowledge translation are central to her research. She is academic lead for the MSc (pre-reg) Physiotherapy and MSc (pre-reg) Occupational therapy, link tutor for the BSc (Hons) Dual-Award MAHSA and ARU and supervises 13 postgraduate research students.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akmal Sabarudin is an experienced Medical Imaging and Entrepreneurship Lecturer with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Skilled in Diagnostic Imaging Research especially in Computed Tomography (CT), cardiac imaging and radiation dose optimization and image quality and a Strong healthcare services professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused in Medical Imaging from Curtin University, Australia. Experienced in entrepreneurship education, innovation and commercialization with vast experience in Professional Fellowship in economic empowerment and entrepreneurship in University of California San Diego and Hera Labs.

 

 


Prof. Dr. Susana Paixão

Prof. Susana hold a PhD in Geography and a Master in Environmental Education from the University of Coimbra. Environmental Health Specialist from Coimbra Health School and a bachelor's degree in Hygiene and Environmental Health from the Coimbra Health School at the Polytechnic of Coimbra - Portugal.

She has been President of the International Federation for Environmental Health since October 2020 and President of the Portuguese Society for Environmental Health. She is a member of the Coordinating Council of the Observatory of the Academic Network of Health Sciences of Lusofonia (RACS). She is also coordinator of the Urban Health Group form the Institute of Applied Research (i2A) of the Polytechnic of Coimbra and a researcher at the Center for Studies in Geography and Spatial Planning (CEGOT).

She started as a visiting professor at ESTeSC-IPC in the Department of Environmental Health in 1999 and has been a career professor since 2007. She is currently a Coordinator Professor in the same Department.

She worked as an Environmental Health officer in the Waste Department of the Regional Directorate for the Environment of the Center of Portugal from 1997 to 2003 and in the Department of Public Health of the Health Center of Pombal from 2003 to 2007.

She has vast experience in national and international contexts, collaborating with several scientific journals and giving lectures on various topics in Environmental Health worldwide.
