YBhg. Prof. Dr. Maszlee Malik

Chairman of the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia

YBhg. Prof. Dr. Maszlee Malik has an extensive background in education, politics, and volunteer work. He previously served as the Minister of Education for Malaysia from May 2018 to January 2020 and was a Member of Parliament (MP) for Simpang Renggam from May 2018 to November 2022. YBhg. Prof. Dr. Maszlee Malik earned his Bachelor's degree from Al-Bayt University in Jordan and his Master's degree at University of Malaya in 2004. He later completed his Doctorate in Good Governance from Durham University in the United Kingdom. Prior to his political career, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Maszlee Malik was a committed educator and taught at the International Islamic University Malaysia from 2000 until 2018. He served as a Member of Parliament for the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) from March 2018 to May 2020 and then as an independent MP until November 2021. In November 2021, he joined Parti Keadilan Rakyat and was elected with the highest votes to the party’s Central Leadership Council (Majlis Perwakilan Pusat/ MPP) in August 2022. However, after the 15th General Election, he decided to return to academia. He currently serves as a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Language Studies and Human Development at the Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. He held a position as a Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Social Sciences at the University of Cyberjaya, commencing March 2023 until March 2024. He was also an active volunteer, serving as an advisor for multiple NGOs that help children with special needs.

Assoc. Prof.Ts.Dr.Jessica Ong Hai Liaw

Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Jessica Ong Hai Liaw FCILT is a distinguished Malaysian academic, industry leader, and media personality with extensive contributions across communication, media, language, education, and logistics sectors. She currently serves as the Chairperson of Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) Malaysia, a Council Member of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia (CILTM), Vice Chairperson of Pertubuhan Aspirasi Bahasa Melayu Malaysia (ASPIRASIBM) and Exco of Malaysian Professional Centre (BIM). Additionally, she is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Defence Studies and Management, National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM). Beyond academia, Dr. Jessica has made significant contributions to the media industry. She served as a news presenter for "Berita Dunia" from 2004 to 2020 and hosted several national television programs, including "Bicarawara Global@1," "1Malaysia Breakfast," and "Selamat Pagi Malaysia" on RTM. In 2024, Dr. Jessica expanded her media presence by hosting the "Podcast Bicara Harmoni," an initiative under the Ministry of National Unity. This podcast series focused on sharing the noble values of Malaysian society, aligning with the Harmoni MADANI Initiative launched in April 2024 to promote understanding, respect, and acceptance among the diverse Malaysian populace. She remains active as a trainer, host, and emcee for various events. Dr. Jessica is deeply involved in charitable work and non-governmental organizations. She serves as the Ambassador of the USM Kelantan Child Welfare Association (PEKA), Deputy Chairman of the Malaysian Population Development Organization (PPPM), and Head of Media for the COVID-19 Communication Task Force at the International Academy of Medicine Malaysia. In 2023, she was appointed Director (Ethical Issues) for Maya Global Education Society and Chief Editor of the Open Education Research Journal. She also serves as a Deputy Editor and Reviewer for the Research Journal of GIAP Scopus (Humanities and Social Sciences Review) and as an Editor for multiple international academic journals, including Binet, RMP Publication Journal, IJARSM, Shanlax International Journal, and IJRISS. Additionally, she is the Director of the E-Newsletter for CILTM and has been a columnist for Utusan Malaysia since 2012, contributing to Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP), IKRAM, and various media platforms.

Associate Professor Dr. Law Kian Aun

Faculty of Accountancy and Management, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia

Dr. Law Kian Aun is the Associate Professor at the Faculty of Accountancy and Management, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Finance from City University of New York and an MBAfrom the University of Hull respectively. Then, he received his DBA from University of South Australia and a PhD in Management and Cultural studies from Universiti Malaya. Courses that he has taught include Business Negotiation, Organisation Behaviour,Business Finance, Statistics for Economics and Management, Strategic Management, Research Methods, Business Research Methodology (doctorate levels) and Quantitative and Qualitative Methodology (doctoral levels).
He is actively involving in research covering the areas of business management and cultural studies. He has more than 60 papers accepted / published so far in nationaland international journal including those ranked by Thomson Reuters (ISI) and indexed in SCOPUS, 12 books, conference or seminar proceedings and national magazines and newspapers. He has had secured several research project grants internally and externally. He is currently also a panel assessor for UTAR MOHE, FRGS and TRGS grants applications.
Prior and while in the University, he served as an educator, senior certified trainer and consultant, director trainer, researcher C author in the field of business and social sciences. He has successfully educated and trained the educators, teachers, lecturers, executives, managers and directors of more than 30 public listed companies in Malaysia and in Asia in the past 20 years. As an educationist, Prof. Law has also successfully educated more than a thousand of well-known universities students in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei and locally in Malaysia. PhD and master’s Students under Dr Law’s supervision have successfully and continuously contributed their knowledge, skills and expertise to their respective fields in their respective countries and communities.He is a Bilingual with wide and close network in the Asia Pacific region. His life-long interest covers the field of strategic management, organizational behaviour and cultural studies especially for the SMEs in developing economies. Prof. Law is also an active senior assessment panel and Expert Referee for Malaysian Qualifications Agency MQA) as well as MyRA Assessor under Malaysia Higher Education Ministry (MOHE). He is also currently a Senate Member for UTAR.

Prof. Sayeeduzzafar Qazi

Professor Sayeeduzzafar Qazi is currently working as Chairperson of the Human Resources Management Department at the University of Business and Technology in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has attended many national- and international-level conferences and has presented numerous research papers at these forums. His papers have been published in a number of prestigious international journals and books, and his articles have aligned with UN sustainable development goals. He is also serving as a reviewer for various highly indexed journals. Professor Qazi has successfully conducted several faculty development programmes and has effectively guided many Ph.D. students in management studies. As guide. He was a member of the Academic Council of ICICI-Prudential Life Insurance (Mumbai), as well as the Academic and Administrative Council of the Retailers Association of India (Mumbai). In addition, he has served as a member of the Board of Studies at Punjab Technical University (PTU), along with various other professional bodies. The Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad (IIMA) has accepted his working paper as source reading material for their doctoral students. Professor Qazi has organised, with senior professors, a large number of workshops and management development programmes at IIMA for top and mid-level executives. He was an active consultant in the areas of organisational behaviour, organisational development and human resources management during his five-year stay at IIMA. His extensive client base included both multinational corporate entities and non-governmental organisations. Professor Qazi was associated with the Internal Security Academy (Mt. Abu), Administrative Staff College (Ahmedabad) and Action Aid India (New Delhi). He was also involved with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation-sponsored programme on Leather Cluster (Chennai) and a World Bank-sponsored programme known as India Eco-Development for Forestry Officers. Professor Qazi developed a training programme for the Textile Committee at the Ministry of Textiles in Mumbai, as well as a programme on management effectiveness for Kurlon Ltd. in Bangalore. In addition, he fostered a team-building programme for Indian Administrative Services officers at the Government of India’s Department of Personnel in Delhi, as well as for the Police Department of Gujarat in Ahmedabad. As a visiting faculty member, he has delivered numerous guest lectures at such prestigious business schools and institutions as Nirma University, the B.K. School of Management (Ahmedabad), the Mudra Institute of Communication and Advertisement (Ahmedabad), Sahara Management School (Lucknow), the Bank of Baroda Staff College (Ahmedabad), Railway Staff College, Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (Ahmedabad) and the Gandhi Labour Institute (Ahmedabad), to name a few. Professor Qazi served as a chairperson at Dar Ul Uloom University in Riyadh and was responsible for monitoring compliance with the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment standards, along with other work related to academic quality and excellence. For approximately two years, he held the position of Director at the Institute of Integrated Learning in Management (IILM) – Academy of Higher Learning – in Lucknow. The IILM is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education and is affiliated with Uttar Pradesh Technical University. As described above, Professor Qazi has fulfilled the role of group director with PTU-affiliated institutions for more than eight years. His areas of interest and expertise include effective organisational management, organisational development, developing effective HR systems, behaviour at workplace, institutional development and consumer behaviour aptitude.

He has completed an M.Sc. in International Business from University College Dublin, Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, Ireland (Ranked among the top 200 colleges of the world – QS World ranking). He has completed PhD from Aligarh Muslim University (Central University). He has published research papers in reputed SCOPUS/Web of Science/SCI/ABDC/UGC Care Journals. Dr. Kumar has over eighty publications (Scopus- 66, ABDC- 25, Web of Science- 25, SCI-3). He also has three e-books and five book chapters to his credit (two are Scopus-indexed). He has published several cases in Emerald Emerging Case Studies (Scopus), International Social Science Journal (ABDC-B and Scopus), Small Enterprise Research (Scopus and Web of Science), Case Centre-UK, and other reputed Scopus, ABDC, and Web of Science journals. He has three internationally granted patents by South Africa and one patent granted by the Indian Government. Dr. Kumar has more than 1345 citations on Google Scholar with an h-index (18) and i10-index (30). He has 935 citations on the research gate with an h-index of 18 (Research interest -785). In the Scopus database, Dr. Kumar has 300+ citations with an h-index of 11. He has attended/organized more than fifty conferences (National/International/ICSSR/AICTE) and 40 FDPs. Dr. Kumar has been invited as session chair, resource person, keynote speaker, and judge at various conferences in India and outside. He is also invited to guest lecture series at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, University College Dublin, and other foreign universities. He also got a grant for a major research project from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) in the capacity of the co-project investigator. He has handled various Scopus/ABDC/Web of Science journals as a Special Issue Editor. He is also a reviewer in several Scopus/ABDC/ABS journals. He is the India Country Head for International Management Review (UGC-CARE-I).
