
DATO' MOHAMAD DAUD DOLMOIN was an Assistant Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia until May 2009 in charge of the organisational development. He was involved in the process of policy formulation and policy implementation in many regulatory and monetary management areas, in addition to policies and activities relating to the day-to-day running of the Central Bank of Malaysia. A graduate of University Malaya and Harvard University, Dato’ Mohamad Daud was also a member of the Monetary Policy Committee, Regulatory Policy Committee, Reserve Management Committee, Risk Management Committee, Strategic Management Committee, Learning and Knowledge Management Committee, and Procurement Committees. During the two and half decades of his service to the Central Bank of Malaysia, Dato’ Mohamad Daud was directly involved in the activities to promote the soundness, safety and growth of the banking and insurance industries. He contributed significantly to the rehabilitation and development work during the periods of the economic downturn in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
He made a significant contribution in modernizing and transforming the central bank’s orientation, policies, and practices in the area of talent management, performance management, knowledge management, change management and technology management. He left a lasting legacy in the transformation of the central bank into a truly knowledge-based, performance-driven and talent-rich organisation. Since his retirement in May 2009, Dato’ Mohamad Daud was actively involved in professional advisory services in the private sector. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Parkson Holdings Bhd., a public-listed company with total assets in excess of RM7 billion. In 2008 he was commissioned by Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Nasional Bhd. (ANGKASA) to complete a blueprint for the establishment of a new cooperative bank with a targeted capital of RM1.0 billion. The Bank was established in 2012 and is now operational with an initial capital of RM100 million. He is an advisor to the Council of Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), an NGO that focuses on research on current economic issues and policy implications for the government. He is also an active member of Majlis Perundingan Melayu (MPM) and the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER). .
Dato' Mohamad Daud is currently the Executive Chairman of Lifelong Learning Academy Sdn. Bhd. Known as the Academy. Under the Project ELITE, the Academy will organise one-day programmes to train foreign workers in Malaysia, estimated at 2.4 million persons. Within 5 years, Project ELITES are expected to provide training to 5,000 graduates who will become entrepreneurs and create more jobs. Dato' Mohamad Daud was born in Sabak Bernam, Selangor Darul Ehsan in May 1953. He obtained his Bachelor of Economics degree from Universiti Malaya and Masters in Public Administration from John F. Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University in the USA. He has attended numerous local, regional and international seminars, courses and learning programmes during his colourful professional life.

DR TAIMUR SHARIF is currently the Head of Business at Newman University Birmingham, UK. Prior to this, he was the Director of the Faculty of Business and Management at Muscat University – a leading HEI in Oman that operates in conjunction with Aston University and Cranfield University from the UK. Earlier, he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Business at Alhosn University in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He collaborated with the Ministry of Education and played a pioneerting role in promoting entrepreneurship education in the UAE. Dr. Sharif also worked for London South Bank University, UK; Central Sussex College, UK; Murdoch University, Dubai campus, among others.
Dr Sharif is a Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academyc (HEA), UK, a Chartered Manager of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), UK and Chartered Institute of Management (CIM), Canada, and a Certified HR Professional from the Australian HR Institute (counterpart of CIPD, UK). Dr. Sharif completed his first two academic degrees in Economics (BA Honours and MA) at Aligarh Muslim University, India, securing places in the Dean’s list. He also completed MSc in Economic Quantitative Methods at Stockholm University, Sweden with a Distinction and PhD in International Business at London South Bank University, UK. He also has a PGCE from the University of Sussex, UK and a PGCert in Innovation & Entrepreneurship Education from Stanford University, USA.
Dr Sharif sits in a number of journal editorial boards, reviews research papers for leading journals and conferences, and plays global external roles in PhD committees and academic programme review panels. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented in international conferences. His areas of research interest cover a wide range of topics in economics, finance and international business. Currently, Dr. Sharif is working on a collaborative research project on “Value Co-Creations and Brand Loyalty in Oman”, block funded by the Research Council (TRC) of Oman. He provides virtual lectures on business & management subject areas and learning & teaching topics to global audience.

PROF. DR CHIEH YU LIN received his PhD degree from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. He is a Professor of the Department of International Business at Chang Jung Christian University, and now the Dean of the College of Management and Dean of International School of Business. He also served as the Evaluator at the Higher Education Evaluation & Accreditation Council of Taiwan.
Dr Lin has published a number of articles in several academic journals and presented papers at international conferences. His publications focus on environmental management, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility. Dr Lin has also conducted several projects of related topics sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan.
ASSOC. PROF. DR SYED SHAH ALAMASSOC. PROF. DR SYED SHAH ALAM is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business, Finance and Information Technology, MAHSA University Malaysia. Prior to joining MAHSA University Malaysia, he taught at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia (UiTM) and Multimedia University Malaysia (MMU). Dr Alam was the recipient of an “Excellent Service Award” at UKM in 2011.
He has authored four books and more than 100 academic articles in business and E-commerce areas. He has been listed among top 2% scientist ranked by Stanford University USA in 2020. Over the past 5 years, he has been actively involved in social enterprise development programmes in Malaysia with a special interest in participatory action research and social enterprise projects. He focuses on developing and promoting linkages and collaborative social enterprise activities between institutions in Malaysia and abroad. He has served as the secretary for “First International Research Conference on Social Business 2013” held at UKM.
